Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has appointed Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, as his new Chief of Staff.

The governor also appointed Mrs Aderonke Adedayo, his Special Adviser on General Intervention and Donor Agencies, as Director-General of the state’s Due Process Office.

The appointments take immediate effect, according to letters signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Musibau Babatunde, announcing the changes.

Akinwole previously served as chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission before his appointment to the governor’s office.

Adedayo, meanwhile, will retain her position as Special Adviser on General Intervention and Donor Agencies while taking on the additional responsibility of leading the Due Process Office.

In announcing the appointments, Makinde congratulated both officials and expressed confidence in their ability to discharge their new responsibilities effectively.

The governor urged them to demonstrate loyalty and dedication in carrying out their duties, emphasising the importance of serving the state diligently.

He charged the appointees to perform their assignments with “loyalty, commitment, and dedication to the service of Oyo State.”
