The remains of Mrs Gladys Ekeodu Asuzu (Nee Obiora) will be laid to rest on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at her husband’s compound, Ndiejezie Village in Arondizuogu, Imo State.
Asuzu, mother of the late popular Nollywood actor, Ernest Asuzu, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the age of 80.
According to burial arrangements signed by her eldest son, Emeka Asuzu, her final journey on earth began on Friday, March 23, 2024 with a Service of Songs held in her honour at Road 10 Football Field, Lekki Gardens Phase 2, Ajah, Off Abraham Adesanya.
On Friday, April 12, 2024, there shall be a Christian Wake at her husband’s compound, Ndiejezie, Arondizuogu.
On Saturday, April 13, 2024, her body will leave Akokwa mortuary to her father’s compound for a brief reception. Thereafter, her body will arrive at her husband’s compound for lying-in-state and a burial Mass in her honour, after which her body will be interred at about 12noon.
She is survived by children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
