Rivers State governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Dumo Lulu-Briggs, has mourned the victims of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) aircraft crash in Ondo State, describing the incident as a tragedy that touches every Nigerian.
In a condolence message, Lulu-Briggs expressed sympathy with the bereaved families, officers and men of the Nigerian Air Force, and others affected by the tragedy.
“Beyond the numbers are fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, friends and colleagues whose absence will be deeply felt,” he said, noting that no words could adequately ease the pain of losing a loved one, particularly someone who died in the service of the country.
He paid tribute to military personnel who dedicate their lives to protecting Nigeria, stressing that their sacrifices must never be taken for granted and that their families should not be left alone in their grief.
Lulu-Briggs said he stood in solidarity with the bereaved families and the Nigerian Air Force, praying that God would grant the deceased eternal rest and comfort those they left behind.
He described his message as a tribute to service and sacrifice, reflecting on the profound human cost of the tragedy.
