The influential League Bloggers Awards (LBA) is thrilled to announce that as preparations enter the final stages for the start of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, it will look to launch the start of the new season by celebrating the outstanding players from the 2022/23 league season.
Since 2009, the LBA has recognised and has been celebrating the top-performing players in the top flight.
This year, the LBA ceremony will be held on Tuesday, August at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, with 11 main categories of awards to be handed out.
Nominated for the 2022/23 NPFL End Of The Season awards include Enyimba’s Chukwuemeka Obioma who emerged as the league’s topscorer with 16 goals. Obioma would vie for the Player Of The Season honour with Remo Stars’ brilliant shot-stopper, Kayode Bankole and Rivers United’s electric left back, Ebube Duru.
The trio of Monday Odigie of Bendel Insurance, Daniel Ogunmodede of Remo Stars, and title-winning Enyimba manager, Finidi George have all been nominated in the NPFL Coach of the Season category.
A corporate organisation, as well as a state government, will also both be recognised for their positions in the success of the season.
