…seeks N30 million to purchase land

Following the law against noise pollution by the Lagos State Government which states that churches and mosques should not be located in residential buildings, the Holy Ghost Bible Church, Olodi Apapa is planning to raise the sum of thirty million naira to acquire a land for church building.
General Overseer of the Church, Apostle Chris Ikechukwu Anurunwa said the fund-raising is scheduled for Sunday, 7th , April 2024 at 12 noon, and will take place at Delicious Treat (DT) Bush Bar, along Kirikiri Road, Olodi Apapa, Lagos State.
He explained that the church, in order to obey the law, has decided to vacate her present location at Kareem Akande Street, Olodi Apapa, which is in a residential building.
Anurunwa noted that the decision to relocate becomes necessary to avoid embarrassment from the law enforcement agents at any time.
“As law abiding citizens, we want to raise money to purchase a land of our own and build a church where no one will embarrass us for noise pollution.
“Also , if the church environment is conducive, we will be free to conduct our services with ease.”
The cleric appealed to well meaning Nigerians and those who love and find joy in promoting the spread of the gospel to support the church in actualizing the dream.
“We will be pleased to be supported by everyone, especially those who find joy in promoting God’s work.
“Already, we have reached out to some individuals in the public, private sectors and men of God, whom we believe, God can use to achieve the target. And, we are expecting that they will honour the invitation.
“Presence of the guests, shall be gracefully and highly welcome to the needed work of the creator and father.”
It is expected that the General Overseer of Liberation Word Ministries, Bishop Michael Omodiagbe will be Guest Speaker, while the Chairman of PFN, Apapa Province, Apostle Nelson Eke Opara and others, will serve as special guests of honour.
“Other expected guests of honour include; member representing Ajeromi Ifelodun Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Lukmon Olumoh and his Constituency II counterpart, Hon Sabur Akanbi Oluwa, Bishop Dr Lawrence Okoro and others.”
Anurunwa also informed that prayers will be offered for some guests for God to grant their respective good heart desires.
He used the opportunity to call on all to support the work of God, so as to attract more blessings.
“God will bless those who will not hesitate to do that which is pleasing to him. So, come and contribute in building a house of worship for him.
“We will be glad you did.”
