Obu Ohafia, a socio-economic development association in Ohafia, Abia State, has said that the late Rev Uma Ukpai was phenomenal in his ecclesiastical calling.
While morning the passing of one of the greatest evangelists, the President General of the group, Chief Nnanna Ajike, poignantly noted that with the demise of Dr. Uma Ukpai, the global Christian community has lost a touch bearer.
In a statement, Chief Ajike noted that: “Through his evangelical movement, Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, God has used the anointed crusader of the faith to bring Christian revival in many African countries and beyond.
In Ohafia, Abia State, where he was born, his end of the year programme, Greater Ohafia for Christ Crusade, which rotates among the 26 villages, has impacted and ignited the fire of spiritual fervor in the entire community.”
Dr. Ukpai, who died at age 80, was one the founders of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
