UK-based gospel pianist, singer-songwriter, and producer, Larimontu, has unveiled his debut single, ‘Oluwa’. The soul-stirring track is a heartfelt expression of faith and resilience, inspired by a deeply personal experience.
Born Larry Odiase Clement, Larimontu shared that the song was birthed during a challenging period of his life. “I woke up from a dream with the chorus of this song playing in my head,” he revealed.
“The melody and message were so powerful that I had to immediately write it down. It became my way of surrendering to God after exhausting all my efforts.”
The single, recorded in his home studio, showcases Larimontu’s musical versatility. His years of experience as a music director, band leader, educator, and jazz pianist have culminated in a unique sound that blends R&B, jazz, soul, and Afrocentric rhythms.
At 38, the Nigerian-born artist is making waves with his deeply reflective lyrics and dynamic vocal style. ‘Oluwa’ is more than just a song; it’s a testament to his journey of faith and creativity.
