Lamine Yamal netted his first career hat-trick to lead Barcelona to a convincing 4-1 victory over Villarreal in La Liga action at Spotify Camp Nou on Saturday.
The 18-year-old winger opened the scoring in the 28th minute, curling a low finish into the bottom corner after a precise pass from Fermín López, who had intercepted the ball high up the pitch.
Yamal doubled the lead just nine minutes later, dancing past two defenders before rifling a spectacular strike into the far top corner.

However, Yamal restored Barcelona’s two-goal cushion in the 69th minute, racing onto a superb through ball from Pedri and finishing with a composed chip into the bottom corner to complete his hat-trick.
The win was sealed in stoppage time when substitute Robert Lewandowski added a fourth goal for the hosts.

The performance also helped Barcelona extend their lead at the top of the La Liga standings to four points ahead of rivals Real Madrid, who play Getafe on Monday night.
