A former Vice Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly Correspondents Association (LAHACA), Mr. Shakiru Adeleye of Lagos Television (LTV 8), has won Silver Medal in the finals of the table tennis event in the ongoing 2025 edition of the Lagos Speaker’s Game.

Adeleye secured the silver medal in the finals after losing to Lawal Amidu of Somolu Local Government in straight sets — 11-6, 11-7, 11-8 — in a thrilling final encounter.

The annual sports competition is organised to commemorate the birthday of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, which comes up on November 11.

Adeleye, who clinched gold in 2023 and silver in 2024 and now silver medal again, expressed optimism about reclaiming the top spot next year.

“I will train hard and give my best to win gold again,” he said confidently after the final game.
