The President of Ahudiyannem Football Club, Chief Dr. Robert Onyeani, has charged Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingoes, to remain focused and finish their historic campaign with the trophy.

The Flamingoes sealed a place in their first-ever FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final after defeating Brazil 3-1 on Wednesday night in Morocco.

While congratulating the players and technical crew on the landmark victory, Onyeani said the team must not allow the celebrations to distract them from Saturday’s final.

He advised them to stay disciplined and go all out to win the title for the first time and make the country proud.

Onyeani also warned that Japan are no pushovers in women’s football, urging the girls to approach the final with total seriousness and determination.

He expressed optimism that with the same composure, discipline and tactical awareness they showed against Brazil, victory would be theirs.

According to him, lifting the trophy would write the team’s name in history and motivate many young girls across Nigeria to take up football.
