Lagos Motor Show to unite all automotive community – Adebayo

One of the organizers of the motor show, Engineer Gbenga Adebayo, has raised hopes that Lagos motor show would become the largest auto-industry supported motor show in Africa, that would unite the automotive community and Auto Collectors by bringing together key industry players, motoring enthusiasts, and consumers shopping for a new ride.

Adebayo, Chairman and Chief Promoter, said the Lagos Motor Show is not just a display of classic cars; “it’s a charity event supported by stakeholders who generously contribute in various ways, as demonstrated by the dedicated house team.”

He noted that “despite challenges like closed bridges, we’re thrilled to see so many supporters. We’re focusing on motoring, but my passion for telecommunications also brought me here. As a car collector myself, I’ve written extensively about future cars, and it’s exciting to see concepts like driverless cars becoming a reality.”

He addded that giving back to society is crucial, which is why we’ve assembled a strong team to make this event a yearly tradition. Our goal is to bring together stakeholders from the motoring industry in Nigeria, including collectors, enthusiasts, and industry professionals. This year, we’ll be showcasing new technologies like electric vehicles, which are particularly relevant for mass transit in Nigeria.

The event will take place from the 16th to the 17th of February at the Tafawa Balewa Square. We’ve invited dignitaries and expect over 2000 visitors, including representatives from motor companies, logistics firms, and insurance companies.

The show will feature not only classic cars but also innovations shaping the future of the automotive industry. We’re proud to partner with various organizations, including the US Commercial Service, to make this event a success,” he said.

Royal Media Group, the organizers of the Lagos Motor Show, said an exhibition that will showcase Modern, Classic, Vintage Cars, Eco Friendly EV, Robotics and autonomous vehicles, Electric –Tricycles and E-mobility

The two-day event is scheduled to hold at the Main Arena of Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan Lagos, from Friday 16th to Saturday 17th February 2024.

There will be an exhibition of new innovation and developments in the auto Industry such as Internet of Things (IoT) in automobiles, energy efficient cars, Electric Vehicles and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered low emission vehicles.

The Event
His Excellency the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwolu will be the Chief Host, and the Executive Governors of Kwara States and Chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum, His Excellency, Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq will be the Special Guest of Honour, other Dignitaries expected at the event includes the Governors of Kaduna, Niger, Katsina, Bauchi and Jigawa States.

Chief Olu Okeowo, Founder and Chairman of Gibraltar Constructions Company limited, a Car enthusiasts is also expected among other dignitaries.

His Royal Highness, HRH Barrister Mohammed Sanni Haliru Dantoro CFR. Kitoro IV. (Mai Borgu), The Emir of Borgu Kingdom, Niger State will be the Royal Father of the event.

Motor companies, Motor Boat Companies, Car Collectors, Transport Logistics companies will be at the event. The event will be an exciting opportunity to bring together car enthusiasts and their families, purchasers, decision makers and dealers.

Our aim is that the show will be an annual event that will attract thousands of automotive enthusiasts, industry professionals, and media representatives.

The highly anticipated event in the Nigeria automotive calendar, and will provide corporate brands with unparalleled visibility among industry leaders, influencers, and potential customers. It will record a high number of visitors who are automobile buyers, decision makers, motor enthusiasts, banks, insurance companies, small-scale auto-entrepreneurs, representatives of foreign trade missions and multinational companies.

Access to existing forum of owners and enthusiasts – The Classic Cars Collectors of Nigeria, a community of over 100 classic and vintage car collectors and enthusiasts, will showcase their collections.

Tech Theatre – A dedicated technology exhibition that will feature new innovation, Internet of things (IoT) in automobiles and other developments in the automotive industry, including Electric Vehicles, Electric Tricycles and gas powered low emission ECO friendly vehicles.

Charitable Donation: Part of the proceeds from this event and activities will be donated to charitable causes.

Venue Security and Access: In cooperation with the Lagos State Government Agencies, Security and Traffic Management Agencies, ease of access and egress to the venue will be guaranteed and security and safety of the entire exhibition area is fully assured.
