The Lagos State chapter of the Labour Party (LP), has debunked the story circulating that the party’s candidate for tomorrow, March 18 governorship election in the state, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has stepped down for the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP’s) candidate, Olajide Adediran, popularly called Jandor, describing it as a big lie.
A statement by the Lagos LP Publicity Secretary, Olubunmi Odesanya, accused the PDP candidate, Jandor and his team of media team of peddling what she called blatant lies.
She urged the electorates to disregard the story, saying, “This is a ‘big fat lie’ from the pit of hell coming from a man, who has seen his imminent defeat in the horizon. Jandor has now turned to ‘Jaguda’ trying to steal from the owner.
“The man, who could not pull any electoral weight in the presidential election of March 25, 2023, suddenly wants to come like a thief in the night to take an undeserved glory.
“For the avoidance of any doubts, our candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV) is in the race and has not entered into any alliance with any Jaguda, please disregard him,” he said.
She equally stated clearly that LP did also not enter into any portfolio sharing formula with the PDP candidate, Jandor.
“Lagosians, we appreciate your support and wish to reiterate that GRV is still very much in the race and with your support, he will be elected as the Governor in tomorrow’s election. Jandor should stop spreading lies,” she warned.
