Lagos diverts traffic for junction improvement work at Ikorodu roundabout

In continuation of the junction improvement work at Ikorodu roundabout to free gridlock points and shorten travel time within the metropolis, the Lagos State Government on Thursday, August 17, 2023, diverted traffic at the lane in-bound Ikorodu General Hospital.

A press statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, said the diversion was to enable the completion of the Asphalt binder course and wearing course of the new slip road from.

He, however, disclosed that alternative route had been provided for motorists during the construction period. Specifically, traffic in-bound Ikorodu General Hospital has been diverted into the slip road, to access Hospital Road from Polaris Bank, onward General Hospital.

He advised motorists to be patient as the lane closure would be temporary and part of the traffic management plans to enhance mobility and ensure safety.
