Ahead of the local government election in Lagos State slated for July 12,  the chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, Prince Lanre Sanusi has unveiled his plans to improve the lives of the residents and unite all the political gladiators in the party in the council area.

Addressing journalists today in Festac, Prince Sanusi sought for media cooperation and support before, during and after the election.

Fielding questions from the journalists on his plan to transform Amuwo Odofin, he pledged accelerated revamping of the major and inner roads in Festac Town and creation of vocational centres in Festac, Abule Ado and Mile 2 areas of the council.

He commended the media projecting the ideology and performances of President Bola Tinubu and extended a hand of fellowship to the media to join him in building a formidable Amuwo Odofin community.

Prince Sanusi, a political leader with a wealth of experience in project management, public service, community leadership, resource mobilisation and revenue generation, has  a deep understanding of the challenges facing Amuwo community and the practical solutions needed to address them.

Part of his plans include to reposition Festac as a cultural and creative economic hub and the launching of Amuwo Odofin cultural festivals to attract tourism and  investments.

He also plans to collaborate with the Lagos State Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism, to develop creative enterprise park and empower local artisans, fashion designers, film producers, and musicians to thrive  through grants, training and global exposure.

In their remarks, the journalists in attendance at the media parley assured him of collaborative media supports before and after the forthcoming local government election.
