Lagos Continental Hotel has been named the Hotel of the Year at the 2024 Hotel Managers Conference. The hotel group received the accolade at a gala event held in its Grand African Ballroom recently.
The hotel had earlier won the Best Nigerian Hotel Brand of the Year 2024 at the International Hospitality, Tourism and Eco-Sustainability Forum in April.
General Manager of the hotel group, Karl Hala, in a keynote address delivered at the gala event, emphasized the importance of integrating technology into hospitality to enhance guest experiences and ensure service excellence.
“In an ever-evolving technological world, it’s up to us as hospitality professionals to keep up with the times and look for innovative ways to continuously improve our service, such as using algorithms to personalise services for guests based on their past behaviours and experiences,” he stated.
In his acceptance speech, Hala attributed the award to the cumulative efforts of management and staff to make Lagos Continental Hotel a standout success.
“I extend my heartfelt thanks to all who have contributed to this achievement. Specifically, I acknowledge the staff and the entire Continental Hotels Group Nigeria team for fostering a culture of warmth, hospitality, and exceptional guest experiences. Every milestone we reach, we achieve together, as a family,” he said.
