Minister of State for Labour and Employment Nkeiruka Onyejeocha has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressive Congress (APC) for their victory at the Supreme Court on Thursday.
Onyejeocha in a statement by her Special Adviser on Media, Emameh Gabriel, described the judgement as victory for the country’s democracy and a true reflection of the outcome of the February 25 presidential election.
She also commended the APC for its historic campaigns and grassroots mobilisation prior to the election.
The minister noted that the APC’s historic campaign inspired millions of Nigerians across party lines to come out to vote. She also highlighted Tinubu’s lifelong fight for Nigeria’s democracy as a factor in his victory.
Onyejeocha while commending the opposition political parties for using the necessary legal tools to challenge the outcome of the election, called on them to put the past behind and support the President to move the country forward.
She emphasised that there is no better time than now to support the President’s ongoing development efforts across the country. She also pledged her readiness to engage in constructive work together with the President in the interests of the good people of Nigeria.
