Suspected terrorists on Wednesday evening attacked Oro-Ago community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing a local hunter and injuring his brother.

Sources in the community said the attackers, numbering about six, overpowered the hunter, popularly known as “Baba Ibeji,” while he was on duty.

His brother, who was with him at the time, reportedly sustained injuries but narrowly escaped death.

The terrorists also stormed a nearby office of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), which was said to be unmanned during the attack, and vandalised the facility.

In a related incident, the attackers broke into and destroyed a Point of Sale (PoS) outlet in the area, further heightening tension among residents.
