The Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, has called on every institutional leader and the general public to be truthful in whatever circumstances they find themselves.
He spoke to newsmen shortly after a conventional church service held at The Apostolic Church of Nigeria Lwana Territory campground in Benin City, yesterday.
According to Shaibu who was received with a loud ovation: “My message to the world as part of the 45th annual main convention of The Apostolic Church of Nigeria is to know the truth and abide in it, only that can God set us free.
“One of the most critical parts of our lives today to know the truth and saying the truth. As people of God and followers of Jesus, we must follow the truth to be free from damnation.”
“This 45th annual main convention of The Apostolic Church of Nigeria, will usher in peace, love and moral understanding in Edo State and Nigeria in general.”
Speaking earlier, the Territory Chairman, Pastor S.G.O Uyeh, enjoined the people of God to live in the house of God and believe in him.
“People should not be far from the house of God because all benefits are there for serving God in truth.
“We need to be truthful in whatever we do in Nigeria, the government is sabotaging the truth. Let the people raise up the truth, as the Bible has said; find the truth, I sell it not.”
Intercessory prayers were made by the congregation to guide the deputy governor to his election victory.
