Kidnappers demand N100m ransom to free Ekiti kidnapped school pupils, others

The abductors of six pupils, three teachers and a bus driver of a private school in Emure -Ekiti, Emure Local Government Area of Ekiti State, on Monday evening, have demanded N100 million naira to free the victims.

 

Recall that the pupils, their teachers and the bus driver were attacked by unknown gunmen when the school bus conveying them was returning to Eporo- Ekiti from Emure-Ekiti.

A family source at Eporo Ekiti, who spoke on condition of anonymity said the kidnappers have reached out to the family of one of the abducted school pupils and demanded N10 million as ransom for each of the 10 victims.

The source who disclosed this via phone call said, “The kidnappers have reached out to the family. They called the family of one of the school children and they are requesting for N10 million per victim.

“What we gathered is that there are 10 persons kidnapped – six school children, three teachers and a driver.

“The parents are at Eporo. The bus was returning them home after closing. It was in the process that the kidnappers struck.”
