The Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruk Yaro Enabo, has disclosed that all 4,256 pilgrims from the state who performed the 2026 Hajj in Saudi Arabia returned home safely, with no deaths recorded.
Enabo stated this at the official closing ceremony of the 2026 Hajj operation in Birnin Kebbi.
He explained that the agency successfully evacuated 7,860 pieces of pilgrims’ luggage from the Holy Land to Birnin Kebbi and handed them over to their individual owners.
According to him, “the success of our operations is attributable to Governor Nasir Idris who gave the Agency the requisite moral and material support to excel.
“Kebbi has been rated with the best performance of the 2026 Hajj exercise both at home and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, among other states in the Federation.
“A single male Pilgrim who is undergoing therapy in Makkah, is due home any moment, we thank THE ALMIGHTY GOD that none of Kebbi Pilgrims passes away in the course of the Pilgrimage, we are back home safely,” Enabo said.
The Executive Chairman informed the gathering that the schedule for the 2027 Hajj has been released by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

“Intending pilgrims to the 2027 Hajj Worldwide have the grace of only two months between now and the 1st December, 2026, to secure visa from the Saudi Authorities.
“Intending Pilgrims from Kebbi State should start to pay from today which elapses on the 30th July, 2026.
“Governor Nasir Idris has consented that pilgrims can make an initial deposit of N5 million, but those who have the wherewithal can pay N7 million in full,” Enabo explained.
On the occasion, the Pilgrims Welfare Agency presented awards, including cash prizes, to security agencies as well as individuals who made the necessary contributions that positively impacted the success of the 2026 Hajj operation.
The recipients included the Immigration Service, NDLEA, the Police, the Nigerian Army, DSS, Civil Defence, NAPTIP, the Customs Service and the Federal Road Safety Corps.
Others included the Medical Team, the Media and KTA, while four individuals received a brand-new motorcycle each for their dedication to their assigned responsibilities.
The Head of Government’s Delegation and Amirul Hajj, retired Comptroller-General of the Correctional Service, Ahmad Jafar Jega; the Traditional Ruler of Jega, Sarkin Kabin Jega Muhammad Bawa Arzika; as well as other members of the delegation, witnessed the flag-off ceremony.
