Kebbi Rep distributes 32 motorbikes to constituents

A serving House of Representatives member, representing Birnin Kebbi,Kalgo and Bunza federal constituency, Ibrahim Bello Muhammed, of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has distributed 32 motorcycles to his constituents, including a deaf constituent.

The distribution of the items took place in Birnin Kebbi, in the presence of the party chieftains and members.

Speaking during the distribution, the director in charge of empowerment, Alhaji Ibrahim Ummai described the gesture as timely, considering the economic hardships in the country.

“Since the inception of the Federal Government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Tinubu who removed fuel subsidies, Nigerians have been plunged into serious hardship. So, this is the reason we have to appreciate the lawmaker for this timely empowerment that will add value to the people’s day to today lives.”

He urged the beneficiaries, including  the deaf and dumb man not to sell the motorcycles but make best use of them for the purpose they were given.

Speaking shortly after the distribution, the Senior Special Assistant on Legislative Matters to the lawmaker, Mallam Abdulgafar Tukur, said that the empowerment was part of several assistance the lawmaker has been rendering to the youths within his constituency.

“This is not the first time he has been doing that to the youths in his constituency. We still have many of this kind of empowerment on the pipeline. “We want to commend the lawmaker on his efforts, especially working hard to give hope to youth under his constituency. We are appealing to the beneficiaries not to sell the motorcycles so that they can  make good use of the empowerment items,” he said.

Tukur who described him as an epitome of hope for the youth, said as the youngest  member of the House of Representatives, he has moved multiple meaningful motions at the lower chamber of the National Assembly and sponsored bills that have direct impacts on Nigeria.

The event was attended by the ward chairman of the PDP Nasarawa 1, Alhaji Ibrahim Namazaba ,who thanked the lawmaker for the timely empowerment.
