Kebbi NYSC state Coordinator charges staff to follow scheme’s procedure, treat corps members with kindness

The Kebbi State Coordinator of National Youth Service Corp (NYSC),Mrs. Okolo Agatha Banki has charged staff of the scheme in the state to always show kindness with the Corps members as well adopted Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) laid down by the management in their official duties.

 

Banki stated this while speaking at a meeting with the management staff of the NYSC in the state at the state Secretariat headquarters, Birnin Kebbi which was attended by all Assistant Directors , Branch and Unit Heads.

 

It could be recalled that the NYSC Director-General, Brigadier YD Ahmed held a meeting with all the 37 State / FCT Coordinators on Thursday 11/01/2024 at the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja where he called on the State Coordinators to ensure they protect the image of the Scheme through the application of SOPs.

 

Consequently, Mrs.Banki convened a meeting with management team and briefed them on what was discussed during their meeting with the Director-General .

While addressing the management team,Banki said: ” I was directed to
Inform you all that you must ensure that you discharge your assigned duties in tandem with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for effective service delivery and you must also extend same message to your subordinates”.

She added that NYSC management frowns at extortion, mistreatment and over-socialization with Corps Members on serious note.

Banki charged Staff Members to desist from actions that are inimical to the image of the Scheme.

She equally called on Officers to treat Corps members with kindness as they are the clients of NYSC and therefore must be accorded top priority.
