The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has given certificates of return to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State; as well as 24 members of the House of Assembly.
INEC National Commissioner in charge of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara, Hajiya Amina Bala Zakari, issued the governor his certificate of return while the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ahmad Mahmud, issued certificates of return to the elected Assembly members at Kebbi State School of Nursing and Midwifery, in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, yesterday.
Zakari said issuance of the certificates to the governor and Assembly members concluded all electoral activities in Kebbi and commended the state as one of the most peaceful state in Nigeria where election was held peacefully.
In his acceptance remarks, governor Bagudu thanked the security, media and politicians for working assiduously during the campaigns and election period.
