Kebbi State Government has cautioned youths and civil servants in the state against participating in the planned nationwide protest.
The caution was given by the Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena, at a news briefing in Brinin Kekbi . He said, “Kebbi State Government has started a good work in the last one year.
So, the youths should not draw the hand of the clock back under the disguise of a protest.”
Bena said that there was every tendency for hoodlums and other destructive elements to hijack the planned protest for their own egocentric interests.
While acknowledging the constitutional right of citizens to engage in peaceful demonstration, he aid “it is unconstitutional to use it for selfish reasons or violence.”
