Kebbi State Governor Dr Nasir Idris has joined other Nigerians and the international community to condole with the government and people of Kano State over the death of Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, a Kano-based, internationally acknowledged business tycoon.

Governor Idris, in separate messages to both Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the family of the deceased, signed by the Special Adviser on Strategic Communication, Abdullahi Idris Zuru, observed that the death of Alhaji Dantata was a great loss to the global business community, particularly those in sub-Saharan Africa.

He noted the conglomerate of many enterprises of inestimable value spread globally and benefiting people worldwide, including humanitarian services and philanthropic gestures.

The governor further observed that the late Dantata would certainly be remembered for being among the architects of the rapid socio-economic development of Nigeria, particularly Kano, the economic hub of Northern Nigeria.

While praying to Allah to forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljannatul Firdaus, the governor urged the family to be consoled by his record of selflessness and exemplary services to humanity.
