Kebbi Gov, Minister Commissions road, lecture theatre projects at Waziri Umaru Fed Polytechnic

Kebbi State Governor, Dr.Nasir Idris has Commission 1.2 kilometres road, access gate and lecture theatres at Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic in Birnin-Kebbi.

The Governor who was accompanied by the State Minister of Education Dr. yusuf Tanko Sununu, Rector of the institution, Dr. Usman Tunga commended management of the institution for justifying the funds given to the institution by tetfund.


Idris moved by the various projects at the polytechnic said that the institution has actually been facelifted and upgraded. “I must applaud your efforts as Rector of this great institution for the various development this institution has witnessed” he said.

The Minister of State for Education, Dr Yusuf Tanko-Sununu who also commissioned a twin lecture theatre building with capacity of 600 students commended the polytechnic for executing quality work and ensuring transparency in the projects execution.

Sununu expressed satisfaction over the developmental projects in the polytechnic, he assured that the Federal Government was committed to supporting the institution in its technology innovation and research programs.

Responding, the Rector, Dr. Usman Tunga said that all the achievements recorded by the polytechnic was based on the support the Federal Government and TETFUND gave the institution. “All the lecture theatres were constructed in 2022 and 2023 by TETFUND funds amounting to several millions of naira” he added.

He thanked the Federal Government,.Kebbi State Governor Comrade Dr.Nasir Idris and the Minister of Education for their support and cooperation which he said enabled the polytechnic to achieve its goals.
