The Katsina State Electoral Commission has fixed April 11, 2022 for Local Government council elections.
The Commission’s Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Bako, who briefed the press on Monday said that “all stakeholders particularly the political parties should note that only candidate(s) sponsored by political parties will officially be considered to contest the election.
“All political rallies and campaigns will commence from today 11th January and end 24 hours before the date of the election.
“Political campaigns and rallies will be conducted in accordance with the laid down rules, regulations and guidelines, for hitch-free Local Government elections in the state.
“The Commission will invite all stakeholders for meeting where vital issues will be discussed.”
