Katsina gov signs 2024 appropriation bill into law

Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has signed the 2024 appropriation bill into law.

The House of Assembly had earlier approved the total ₦454,308 billion bill.

Speaking at the signing ceremony at the Government House, on Wednesday, Radda thanked the Legislature for what he described as expeditious passage of the bill after 33 days of “careful scrutiny.”

He pledged strict adherence to budget implementation procedures, emphasising resource allocation based on needs and priorities.

Radda noted that “the state’s insecurity level has reduced by over 60 per cent,” adding that there are ongoing efforts to address challenges in Danmusa, Kankara and other frontline Local Government Areas.
