A middle-aged woman, who was delivered of five babies (quintuplets) on Wednesday died in Kano, Kano State, leaving behind her family and her five babies. The death was confirmed yesterday morning by the public relations officer, Ministry of Health, Labilusi Kofar Nai’sa.
“The doctors did their best to save the mother but, unfortunately, she didn’t make it,” he stated in an audio message. He added that the babies were in stable condition.

The deceased was delivered of the babies at the Murata Mohammed Specialist Hospital, Kano, on Wednesday, sparking excitement and joy among residents. The tragic news has replaced the joy with sympathy and grief.
Daily Sun gathered that the authorities and some private individuals are interested in the case and may step in to support the family in raising the kids.
