Kano governor pledges to provide investor friendly environment in the state

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has vowed to establish a conducive atmosphere for potential investors in the region to bolster economic growth.

The governor said this during a friendly meeting with Aisha Rimi, the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), at the Government House in Kano.

In a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf reiterated the state government’s firm commitment to encouraging investments and fostering economic progress.

“We are determined to create a favorable environment for investors in our state. Recognizing the pivotal role of investments in shaping Kano State’s economic landscape, we stand ready to provide necessary support to realize this goal,” Governor Yusuf expressed.

The Governor emphasized the importance of collaborating with the federal government to unlock diverse investment opportunities.

“Through close collaboration with the federal government, we aim to unleash Kano State’s full potential as a vibrant investment destination.

“Together, we can attract and retain investors who will significantly contribute to our state’s economic advancement.”

Aisha Rimi, the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission, hailed Kano State as a key investment hub in Northern Nigeria, emphasizing the need to attract investors to the region.

She affirmed NIPC’s commitment to enhancing Kano’s economic landscape by supporting local investors and facilitating their growth.

“We are actively engaged in engaging philanthropic organizations and developing a comprehensive portfolio for investors.

” This initiative will simplify the process for foreign investors to explore and engage in opportunities within Kano,” she articulated.
