Kaduna guber: El-Rufai demolishes Ashiru

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the Kaduna governorship election held on Saturday, March 9.

The incumbent governor won re-election in 14 of the northwestern state’s 23 local government areas.

El-rufai, known for demolition of illegal structures in the state since he came to power in 2015, won over arch opponent Isah Ashiru of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
