Bandits terrorising parts of Kaduna State on Christmas day allegedly stormed Afogo Gida of Afogo Ward in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna State killing one person and kidnapping 12 others.
Kidnappings in Kajuru local council have been ongoing for years with some locals killed in the process while others were taken away for ransom.
A credible source in the area who spoke in confidence said the marauding elements stormed the community around 12:01 a.m. on that fateful day and operated unchallenged for hours.
According to the source, one Nathan Patrick was killed in the latest attack.
The source gave the names of the abductees as Kafinta Zachariah, Pamela Zachariah, Felicia Inusa, Yelebeb Inusa, Paul Amidu, and Salama Paul.
Others are Ezra Gambo, Queen Waziri Gambo, Joan Ezra, Famous Patrick, Madina Patrick and Lazarus Patrick
“Let’s continue to pray for their safe return and the repose soul of the lost one”, the source prayed.
Both the Kaduna State Police Command and the Kaduna State Ministry of Internal Security have yet to make any official statement on the development.
As of the time of filing this report, the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, ASP Mansir Hassan was yet to respond to a short message sent via his WhatsApp handle to confirm or otherwise of the story.
