Justice Pete Chudi Obiorah of the Court of Appeal, Akure Judicial Division, will deliver the keynote address during the Annual Convention of the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC), Law Class of 1989, scheduled to hold from August 7 to 10, 2025 in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
In a statement issued by the National President of the Class, Chief Ike Onwuchuluba, this year’s convention promises to be both memorable and impactful. He praised the “meticulous planning and dedication of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) chaired by Hon. Justice Alexus Okuma, a distinguished member of the Class.”
Onwuchuluba said the theme of this year’s convention is: “The Judiciary As Holder Of Public Trust – Expectations.”
The keynote address, he said, will be delivered during the Gala Dinner scheduled for Saturday, 9th August 2025.
Other activities lined up for the convention include a visit to motherless babies’ homes by the spouses and children of class members, a health walk by class members, a pep talk session, and various recreational activities at Mandela Park, Asaba
“The UNEC 1989 Law Class Annual Convention is a family-friendly gathering that brings together members of the 1989 graduating class of the Faculty of Law, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, along with their families. It is traditionally held every August and has become a cherished platform for fellowship, reflection, and bonding,” the statement added.
