Justice Ariwoola’ll accelerate judicial process – OCE

Oke Ogun Council of Elders (OCE), yesterday, felicitated with the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Olukayode Ariwoola on his confirmation and wearing-in as the 18th Chief Judge of Nigeria.

The Council also commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the Senate over the prompt action.

OCE, a body of elders committed to the progress of Oke ogun and the welfare of the people of the area, in a statement, signed by Jare Ajayi, publicity secretary, the Council described Justice Ariwoola as a thorough breed jurist, whose confirmation and inauguration as Chief Judge of Nigeria would “positively enhance Nigeria’s legal system, accelerate the judicial process, and make the system more pro-people.”

The statement stated the appointment of Justice Ariwoola, a native of Iseyin, one of the prominent towns in Oke ogun area of Oyo State is the first time in the country’s history that an indigene of the town would be elevated to the fifth highest office in the country.

The statement read in part: “We appreciate President Muhammadu Buhari for allowing the process to take its normal course, the Council of Elders assures that Justice Ariwoola’s tenure as Chief Justice of Nigeria will make a positive impact on the country in view of the diligence, honesty, forthrightness, and adroitness with which Oke ogun people are known.
