JUST IN: Second casualty recorded in Lagos building collapse

A second victim has died in the building collapse that occurred in the Ojodu-Berger area of Lagos State on Saturday.

Head, Public Education of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Amodu Shakiru disclosed this in a message sent to Daily Sun on Saturday evening.

“A second dead casualty has been recorded while rescued alive with injuries have risen to 12,” the service spokesman said.

In an earlier statement by its Director, Margaret Adeseye, the service disclosed that one man was confirmed dead while 10 others sustained varying degrees of injuries in the three-storey building collapse that occurred at 9:05 am at 14, Oremeta Street, Ojodu Road, Berger.
