The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called off the two-week warning strike that it issued last week for all public institutions in the country.
ASUU made this known on Wednesday during a press conference at its headquarters in Abuja.

ASUU President Chris Piwuna, who gave a prepared speech to reporters, stated that the development was the result of the Senate’s involvement and the efforts of a few other well-meaning Nigerians.
However, he said the National Executive Council of the union resolved to give the government a one-month window to address all contending issues.
