June 12: Benue Speaker, Dajoh hails Nigerians, pledges quality legislation to deepen democracy

Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly and Vice Chairman, North Central, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, Hon. Aondona Dajoh, has felicitated with Nigerians, particularly the people of Benue State on Democracy Day celebration with a pledged to offer quality legislation to deepen democracy in the country.

The Speaker, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Zamber, commended their steadfastness in upholding the principles of democracy adding that their commitment to the rule of law was also acknowledged.

He expressed his gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his remarkable contributions to strengthening democracy in the country and ensuring the prevalence of the rule of law.

He also appreciated the President for his dedication to the welfare and progress of Nigeria, which he said has engendered hope and a deep sense of patriotism in the hearts of Nigerians.

Dajoh also appreciated the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, for his outstanding efforts in delivering dividends of democracy to the people of Benue State.

He said the Governor’s commitment to good governance and the positive impact his administration has made in various sectors of the state was equally commendable.

He extended his appreciation to all members of the Benue State House of Assembly for their relentless support and dedication to the principles of democracy saying “Their cooperation and commitment have been instrumental in the progress and success of the state government.”

The Speaker assured the people of Benue State that the House of Assembly under his watch is fully committed to passing quality laws that will strengthen democracy and directly benefit the masses.

He pledges their dedication to enacting legislation that will foster socio-economic development, safeguard citizens’ rights, and improve the overall well-being of the people of Benue State.

While wishing Nigerians a happy Democracy Day celebration, Dajoh urged Benue people to remain law abiding citizens and continue to support all arms of the government to deliver democracy dividends to them.
