Jumia Nigeria has said the platform is reducing barriers to trade and enabling small businesses to reach wide customers.

The Chief Executive Officer, Jumia, Temitayo Ojo, made the commitment recently during the unveiling of Jumia’s Black Friday campaign scheduled to begin on October 30 to November 30, 2026 themed: “No Manage Am.”

Ojo said: “One of the things we are particularly proud of is the number of small businesses that depend on Jumia to reach customers and trade with the rest of Nigeria. “The Jumia ecosystem contributes to Nigeria’s economy by supporting small businesses, creating jobs, and providing opportunities for entrepreneurs to reach consumers across the country.”

The month-long campaign, which offers  discounts of up to 60%, will feature deals across essential and lifestyle categories, giving shoppers more opportunities to replace worn-out products, upgrade everyday essentials, and purchase items they have been putting off, while making their budgets go further.

The company said, to support the increased demand expected during the campaign, Jumia has upgraded its platform capacity to accommodate approximately three times the traffic recorded during last year’s Black Friday.

Inspired by the familiar Nigerian expression “No Manage Am”, the campaign speaks to a relatable reality: making do with things that no longer work as they should, whether it is a faulty charger, an outdated appliance or an overdue replacement. Jumia turns this everyday frustration into a practical invitation to upgrade, offering discounts of up to 60% with a wide product selection, special brand offers and interactive promotions designed to help consumers find value on the products they want and need.

Ojo said, “With ‘No Manage Am’, we are making Black Friday about more than discounts: it is about helping customers get the products they want, at prices that work for them, through a reliable shopping experience. Our upgraded platform can accommodate approximately three times last year’s Black Friday traffic, and we are ready to deliver our most memorable edition yet.”

The Jumia Black Friday campaign kicks off at midnight today, with five explosion Fridays taking place today and November 6, 13, 20 and 27. The campaign will offer discounts of up to 60%, with NIVEA, Xiaomi, and Skyrun serving as headline sponsors, alongside brand partners, including Silver Crest, Oraimo, Samsung, and Aeon, as well as other participating brands. Together, these partners will bring offers across key consumer categories, giving shoppers more opportunities to find value on the products they want and need.

Additional attractions include daily Brand Day deals, Sunday free-shipping offers, a Scavenger Hunt featuring 200 hidden items, the Snatch It Challenge and live-streamed giveaways. On November 11, shoppers can discover freebies hidden across the platform during 11 consecutive hours of promotions, from 8am to 6pm. The campaign will culminate in a Cyber Monday finale on November 30.

To support the anticipated increase in demand, Jumia has conducted platform stress tests, strengthened its infrastructure and worked with vendors to prepare product assortments and fulfilment operations. Customer support has been scaled across the app, website, WhatsApp, live chat and telephone hotlines, with 24-hour assistance. AI-powered chat support, a call-to-order service and an improved returns and refund process will provide additional support throughout the campaign.

Consumers are encouraged to visit the Jumia website or download the Jumia app ahead of October 30 to browse participating brands, compare available offers, build wish lists and plan their purchases. By checking the campaign calendar and setting notifications, shoppers can prepare for limited-time deals and make the most of the month-long event.

With “No Manage Am,” Jumia is inviting Nigerians to move beyond making do, discover better options and get more from their shopping budgets.

The campaign was announced at a media briefing attended by Temitayo Ojo, Chief Executive Officer of Jumia, alongside Oluwafemi Ajulo, Chief Commercial Officer; Lere Awokoya, Chief Marketing Officer; Marilyn Oruwari, Chief Operations Officer; and Henry Enyinnaya, Head of Public Relations.
