Jojane Atelier’s Kyra Collection is named after the Greek feminine entity, Kyra, meaning Lord, and symbolizing empowerment.
The collection features dresses designed to help wearers exude professionalism while also standing out at the same time. The Kyra Collection boasts a palette of calming neutrals, including ivory, champagne, and soft gray, paired with vibrant Ankara prints. The dresses showcase a mix of luxurious silk, cotton, and velvet textures, ensuring a tactile experience. The collection was released in June 2023 at a private event held at the brand’s main store in Lagos.
Jojane Atelier created the collection for female professionals seeking corporate or corporate/casual dresses for daily activities. Each dress is perfect for Fridays or pairing with a suit jacket.
The Kyra Collection’s versatility makes it suitable for various occasions, from boardroom meetings to evening events. The dresses can be effortlessly styled for both corporate and casual settings.

However, a dress in the Kyra Collection stands out. It features an Ankara print fabric with diverse patterns that create a patchwork illusion. This adds to the beauty and diversity of jewelry and accessories that can be paired with these dresses. Jojane Atelier’s incorporation of Ankara prints aligns with the growing trend of African-inspired designs in contemporary fashion.
The collection’s impeccable craftsmanship and design sensibility reflect Isioma Osadebay’s guiding hand. The collection showcases exceptional garment construction skills, with dresses properly layered and designed. The appliqué technique used is seamless and flawless, and decorative buttons are expertly sewn. The creative direction behind the gowns is evident in the designs, which are simple yet suitable for both official and unofficial events. Osadebay’s creativity shines through in select designs that showcase her innovative approach.
Despite its strengths, the collection faces limitations in fabric choices and size inclusivity. Expanding size options and incorporating adjustable designs would enhance inclusivity. Using eco-friendly materials, such as organic cotton or recycled fabrics, would boost sustainability. Pairing patterned Ankara with cotton or silky fabrics could add shine. Also, a round-neckline could replace the collared v-neckline for a more professional look. Lowering the back slits would equally reduce exposure in case of a wardrobe malfunction.
