Join us, APC urges ex-Ebonyi PDP guber candidate

APC and PDP

From Uchenna Inya, Abakaliki

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State has urged the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 governorship election in the state, Chief Ifeanyi Odii to the party.

Over a  week ago, he resigned his membership of the PDP and has not declared for any political party.

Chairman of APC in the state, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, urged him to join the party.

Emegha, in an interview with journalists in his Ekoli community, Edda Local Government Area of the state, said he was discussing with Odii to join APC.

“In security, there is what we call a stick and carrot approach to issues.

I have been talking with Ifeanyi, I have been calling him until he assured me that he was going to resign.

“So, where he is heading to after his resignation is where I can’t tell but am still working on him.

“I don’t want him to go far, let him join APC.  He loves the governor and the governor loves him so much. They are contemporary, they are almost age mates.

“So, if Ifeanyi Odii has something to offer, he must not be governor to offer Ebonyi that thing . Let him come closely and work with the governor.

“He has a good heart too, he wants to develop the state too. He has something in him he also wants to deposit in the state. More importantly, he is somebody who has the heart of giving.

“Ifeanyi Odii has the heart of giving. So, I am working on him and I believe very strongly that heaven will help me to bring him into APC,” Emegha said.
