Jigawa State Governor, Umar A Namadi has ordered the suspension of the state Commissioner for Commerce, Aminu Kanta.
The suspension which is with immediate effect will subsist pending Investigation into the Iftar feeding programme in Babura Local Government Area.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the Jigawa State Government, Bala Ibrahim confirmedthesuspension. .
The statement said the move was part of the government’s commitment to ensuring financial accountability and prudent management of public funds.
According to the statement, the Commissioner was suspended for alleged involvement in mismanagement of iftar feeding programme fund in Babura Local Government Area.
