Chinese automobile brand Jetour has unveiled its new flagship sport utility vehicle, the G700, a high-performance hybrid designed to combine luxury, off-road capability and long-range efficiency as the company intensifies its push into the premium SUV market.

The G700, powered by the company’s Kunpeng Super Hybrid CDM-O system, pairs a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with dual electric motors to produce 904 horsepower and 1,135Nm of torque, placing it among the most powerful hybrid SUVs in its class.

According to the manufacturer, the large SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, despite its nearly 5.2-metre length, while offering a combined driving range of about 1,400 kilometres.

Designed with both urban luxury and rugged terrain in mind, the G700 features adaptive suspension, triple differential locks and advanced off-road technology, allowing the vehicle to tackle difficult conditions. It also boasts a wading depth of 970mm, enabling it to cross deep water where conventional SUVs may struggle.

Visually, the model adopts a bold, boxy design characterised by a commanding stance, matrix LED headlights and a large grille intended to give the vehicle strong road presence.

Inside, the G700 focuses heavily on comfort and digital technology. The cabin is fitted with a 35.4-inch 3K panoramic display, Nappa leather massage seats and an 18-speaker Lexicon sound system with Dolby Atmos.

Additional luxury and utility features include an on-board refrigerator capable of cooling beverages to –6°C or heating drinks to 50°C, as well as a built-in oxygen supply system designed for high-altitude travel.

Some versions also incorporate advanced off-road assistance systems intended to help drivers navigate challenging environments such as deep mud or sand.

The G700 reflects Jetour’s “Travel+” philosophy, which focuses on combining long-distance touring capability with high levels of passenger comfort.

The model will be available through accredited dealerships in Nigeria including Elizade Nigeria Limited, Kojo Motors, Mandilas Motors, R.T. Briscoe Motors, as well as New Era AutoVehicle Services Ltd, Germaine Auto Centre and Tab Autos Ltd.

Industry observers say the introduction of the G700 signals growing competition in the global luxury SUV segment, where manufacturers are increasingly combining high-performance hybrid technology with traditional off-road capability to attract affluent buyers seeking both power and efficiency.
