Iwosan Investments has acquired Paelon Memorial Hospital, Lagos. Its Chief Executive Officer, Fola Laoye, described the deal as a major step toward elevating healthcare delivery across the country.

He said: “The hospital’s values align with Iwosan’s vision for an integrated network of high-quality medical facilities. Paelon, which made history as the first African facility to attain SafeCare Level 5 certification, is widely recognised for evidence-based, patient-centered care. Its integration into the Iwosan Group is expected to deepen collaboration, accelerate knowledge exchange, and enhance the delivery of best-practice clinical services. Through Iwosan’s support in governance, finance, human resources, and operations, Paelon is positioned to strengthen its community impact and elevate the quality of care it provides.”

Founder and Managing Director, Paelon, Dr. Ngozi Onyia, described the acquisition as the beginning of an exciting new phase for the institution.

She said Paelon’s longstanding vision to deliver compassionate and ethically grounded medical care will be sustained and expanded with the backing of Iwosan’s resources and expertise.

Onyia expressed optimism about the opportunities ahead for staff, patients, and the broader healthcare system.
