The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has condemned the burning to death of Rev. Fr. Isaac Achi in Niger State describing it as an affront to the Igbo and Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

Its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, in a statement, yesterday, advised CAN to take steps to defend itself against all forms of attacks .

“The burning alive of Igbo Catholic priest in Niger State by terrorists is not only barbaric, but also an affront to Igbo Nation and Christian Association of Nigeria,” he said.

He lamented that terrorists have been killing the Igbo in the North at any opportunity and that it must stop.

“Catholic Church and Nigeria Christians, in general, must not allow the constant intimidation and killing of Christians to continue.  IPOB is calling on all Christians and Christian organisations in Nigeria to wake up from their silence and slumber and form a resistance group for self- defense otherwise, fulani terrorists masquerading as herdsmen will exterminate them.”
