Nigeria’s Southwest governors have scheduled a meeting in Ibadan to decide on key regional issues, particularly security concerns across the zone.
Per online reports, the closed-door meeting will be held at the Governor’s Office, Agodi, and will be hosted by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.
Expected to be in attendance are all six governors from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti.

It was also gathered that the emergency meeting will tackle rising security threats, fast-track infrastructural development, and strengthen regional integration under the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN).
The governors will also review ongoing collaborative security initiatives, including the operations of the Amotekun Corps to enhance its capacity amid current challenges.
