The Emir of Zuru Emirate, Kebbi State, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi Mika’ilu Sami Gomo III, has appealed to religious leaders and followers across all faiths to return to God and intensify prayers for divine intervention amid persistent national security challenges.
Special Adviser to the Kebbi State Governor on Communication and Strategy, Abdullahi Idris Zuru (Sardaunkin Zuru), confirmed this in a statement issued in Birnin Kebbi. He stated that the Emir made the appeal at his palace during the weekly post-Jumuat special prayers for peace, unity, and development in Nigeria.

According to Zuru, special prayers for peace have been a sustained practice in the Zuru Emirate since the Emir assumed office. He noted that the renewed call is imperative given the commitment of the Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, to tackling insecurity and driving sustainable development.
The Emir observed that despite the extensive deployment of resources and expert interventions by authorities, security challenges persist, making it necessary to complement physical efforts with sincere spiritual devotion.
“Let us wholeheartedly return to Allah (SWT) through our various religious leaders for divine intervention, alongside the physical efforts being made by our leaders,” the Emir said.
The special prayer session was led by the Chief Imam of Zuru, Suleiman Muhammad Tanko Liman, alongside the Sarkin Mallaman Zuru, Musa Balarabe, and other prominent Islamic scholars in the emirate.
