Infinix, one of Africa’s major smartphone brands, has opened a flagship experience store in Abuja in partnership with Harmony Stores.
The outlet, located at Jabi Lake Mall, is positioned as a one-stop hub for smartphones, laptops, gaming devices and accessories.
The launch, which took place over the weekend, also coincided with the announcement of the 2025 PUBG Mobile Africa Cup, which Infinix is staging in partnership with PUBG MOBILE.
The competition, the first large-scale tournament of its kind on the continent, will use the GT 30 Pro as its official device. The event carries a prize pool of $8,000, with the winning team expected to take home $2,000 and a ticket to the 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC).
Managing Director/CEO of Harmony Group, Olusegun Adebayo, assured customers that the store would offer a broad range of devices despite the difficult operating environment.
“This is a place where you can shop for everything technology: computers, gaming laptops, smartphones, smart TVs, accessories, power banks, and smartwatches,” he said.
On concerns about pricing at Jabi Lake Mall, he added: “Don’t be deceived by the ambience. You can actually get items here cheaper than in many conventional markets.”
He noted that Harmony’s service centre within the mall would provide after-sales support.
Adebayo also expressed optimism about the government’s fiscal policy, stating, “I believe in government’s fairness, particularly toward small and medium enterprises. Our focus remains on creating value for customers while staying compliant.”
Permanent Secretary, Special Duties and Parliamentary Security, National Assembly, Yomi Omogbehin, who was guest of honour, described the flagship launch as a show of confidence in Nigeria’s economic potential.
“It is truly encouraging to see global brands like Infinix choosing Abuja for their flagship store. This investment expands access to technology, creates jobs, empowers young people, and inspires entrepreneurship,” he said.
Omogbehin urged young Nigerians to take advantage of opportunities in the technology sector. “My message is simple: seize the opportunities around you. With dedication and resilience, young Nigerians can compete not just locally, but globally,” he said.
Infinix’s PR Manager, Oluwayemisi Ode, said Nigeria remained a key market for the company, adding that the Abuja flagship was meant to strengthen its presence.
“This flagship store is designed to deepen our presence, bring premium experiences closer to customers, and reinforce our long-term commitment to the country,” she said.
The opening attracted government officials, private-sector players, industry stakeholders and young Nigerians, highlighting the growing interest in the local technology and gaming ecosystem.
