New Barcelona striker, Gabriel Jesus has said winning the UEFA Champions League with the Catalan club would be a dream after suffering final defeats with Manchester City and Arsenal.
The Brazilian, 29, stated this at his unveiling after completing a €15m move from Arsenal on a three-year contract.
Jesus said, “This has been on my mind since the moment I learned there was a chance to come to Barcelona.
“I’ve failed twice in my attempt to win the Champions League with Manchester City and with Arsenal… and now I hope, I really hope, that Barcelona can go far in the competition this season.
“It would be a dream for me.”
Jesus first reached the final with Manchester City in 2021, coming off the bench in the 1-0 loss to Chelsea in Porto.
He reached a second final with Arsenal in May.

The Gunners lost 4-3 on penalties to defending champions Paris Saint-Germain after a 1-1 draw at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest on May 30.
Jesus’ compatriot Gabriel missed Arsenal’s final spot kick.
He has scored 26 goals and provided 8 assists in 57 UCL appearances.
Barcelona last won the coveted title in 2015.
Jesus also said he did not mind being Barça’s plan B after a failed summer pursuit of Atlético Madrid’s Julian Álvarez.
“This doesn’t bother me. It doesn’t offend me.
“What offends me is when someone says I’m a bad guy, something no one has ever said to me in my life. So that doesn’t bother me. What bothers me is not playing football,” he said.
