…. NOA seeks first rotational registration in wards

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Kebbi State has disclosed that the Commission would expanded the Voters Registration Exercise to all Wards and Registration Areas in all the Local Government Areas of Kebbi state.
Resident Electoral Commissioner,Alhaji Abubakar Sarkin Pawa Dambo stated this during a stakeholders meeting on the resumption of phase 2 of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise in Kebbi state.
Dambo, explained that the second phase of the CVR exercise which has begun on 5th January,2026 at INEC LGA Offices and the state headquarters.
According to him, ” it is part of civic duties of all eligible Nigeria citizens to register and get their PVC from the INEC in order to participate in all electoral activities such as voting on election – day and contesting in electoral positions at various level of governance in the country.
“The exercise will be expanded to reach all the Registration Area Centre/ Wards in each LGA of the State starting from the 2nd of February,2026 to 10th of April,2026 and then back to the LGA Offices and the State headquarters in the last week of the exercise ,which is from 13th April to 17th April,2026”.
He promised to made the time table available to all the LGA Offices for proper guide.

In his remark,the Kebbi State Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) Mallam Muhammad Nasir Karofi urged the Commissioner to adopt rotational of the Registration Exercise ward after ward in each LGA to allow massive registration by the electorates.
He also advised the politicians to mobilize all the citizens not only their own people,stressed that nobody knows who might voted for them during election day.
Earlier the representative of Emir of Gwandu,the Waziri Gwandu, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar commended the Commission for the meeting and the ongoing registration exercise.
In his remark,the Kebbi State Commissioner for information and Culture,Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Saliu Al-Kasim Gunabi infomed the stakeholders that the Ministry had translated the awareness jingle INEC sent to them and placed on various media and social media platforms for pubic consumption on the CVR exercise.
He added that the Ministry are always ready to partner with the Commission for the successful of the exercise.
Chairman of IPAC in the state, Alhaji Muhammad Ibrahim urged the commission to consider citizens who are on the hospital beds during the Registration Exercise.
The meeting was attended by Heads of Security Agencies, political parties and other stakeholders in the state.
