Imo Reps primaries: Okafor, Onuoha, Nwadike lose return tickets

Hon. Chike Okafor, who represents Okigwe South Federal Constituency of Imo State, has lost his bid to return to the lower chamber for a fourth term following the All Progressives Congress primaries held yesterday.

Hon. Okafor, who has been in the House of Representatives since 2015, lost to Hon. Jonas Okeke, a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly.

Similarly, Princess Miriam Onuoha, who currently represents Okigwe North, also lost her third-term bid to Mr Agasu Uchenna.

However, Canice Moore Nwachukwu Omeogo (Orlu/Orsu/Oru East), Hon. Dibiagwu Eugene (Oguta/Ohaji-Egbema/Oru-West), Hon. Akarachi Amadi (Mbaitoli/Ikeduru), and Hon. Tochukwu Okere (Owerri Federal Constituency) survived the primaries.

Others who emerged from the primaries are Ngozi Pat-Ekeji (Aboh/Ngor-Okpala), Chukwudi Anyanwuocha (Ahiazu/Ezinihitte), Sandra Inyama (Ideato Federal Constituency) and Hon. Cosmos Maduba (Nkwerre/Nwangele/Isu/Njaba), who defeated Hon. Harrison Nwadike.
